Rep Time

The Rep Time application is exactly what the functional fitness world is missing when it comes to recording workouts for online video submissions.

Why should your phone only act as a timer? Shouldn’t you be able to record your workout and time it with a single app? We thought so..

The application allows you to record your workout with a superimposed clock so that you are not struggling with the perfect camera angle to get your workout in view of a physical timer.

Please read below to ensure you understand how the app works before purchasing.

Quick Facts:

● This app has not yet been optimized for iPad. Don’t worry though, it’s in the works!
● This app works best on the iPhone 5 or later.
● This app is designed for iOS 7.0 or later.
● We highly recommend testing out the app before using it for an actual competition so that you become familiar with the interface and features.

App Features:

● Set your own initial countdown for every video that you record so that you have enough time to get ready before the actual workout timer starts.
● If you are using this video for a competition and are required to introduce yourself, show your equipment, etc., please adjust your initial countdown accordingly.
● Select either a ‘count up’ or ‘count down’ timer for your workout.
● If you are using the ‘count down’ timer then a big ‘3...2...1...Stop’ will be displayed on the screen as soon as you get to the final three seconds of the workout.
● The final video including the initial count down will be saved directly to your device’s camera roll.
● When you are done with your workout you can hit the ‘stop’ button to end the recording.
● As workout videos can be lengthy, please ensure you have adequate space on your iPhone before beginning your recording.
● The longer the recording, the longer it may take to render your final recording. Please be patient.

Before Getting Started:

● The longer your workout, the larger the final video file will be. Please ensure you have adequate space on your iPhone prior to starting your video. For example, a 5 minute recording may take up close to 300 MB, but may vary from phone to phone.
● Make sure you have a good charge on your phone to account for the time needed to record your workout as well as compile the final video (see #7 below for more information on the video compilation process).

App Instructions:

1. Press the ‘Record a New Workout’ button to start.
2. Set your initial countdown time for your workout. This is the time you need to get yourself in position, announce your name, show your equipment, etc., before the actual workout begins. The app will include your activity from the initial countdown in the final video. You will see a large ‘3...2...1...Go’ in the final three seconds of the initial countdown.
3. Select either the front or back camera to be used for your recording. If recording by yourself we recommend using the front facing camera so that you can see the ‘3...2...1...Go’ in the final three seconds of the initial countdown.
4. Select either the ‘Count Up’ or ‘Count Down’ timer. If you are using the ‘Count Down’ timer you will be prompted to enter your pre-determined workout duration after you press the ‘Start’ button. If you use the ‘Count Down’ timer you will see a ‘3...2...1...Stop’ in the final three seconds of the workout.
5. Press ‘Start’ to activate your initial countdown and begin your recording. The rest is up to you.
6. Once you have finished your workout press the ‘Stop’ button to end your recording.
7. You can opt to ‘Save to Camera Roll’ or ‘Cancel & Delete Video’. Please note that once you opt to ‘Save to Camera Roll’ it will take some time to compile your final video. If you press the ‘Home’ button on your iPhone while the video compilation process is running it will stop and restart when you re-enter the app. The longer the video, the longer the video compilation process will take. For example, it may take about 3 minutes to compile a 5 minute recording.
